This week, Mister Mildred took me for a celebratory lunch at The Cinnamon Club, the scene of our first ever date, way back at the turn of the century (I love being able to say that!).
Inconveniently, this coincided with the State Opening of Parliament, meaning that the roads around Westminster were closed, and our date began with an hour spent in a cab, during which we did not manage to leave our postcode! Le sigh… Luckily we had all afternoon free, and I was also able to squeeze in a press interview while we sat and admired the beautiful views between Shad Thames and Westminster.
I also attended a talk by the fabulous Alice Temperley at the V&A. I love her whimsical, luxury British lifestyle vibe. I’m very tempted by this mini Rossi dress from her new collection …
Finally, we got to see Twelve Angry Men before it finishes this week – it was brilliant! I’m always amazed at how much brilliant theatre we have in London – we are so lucky!
